I was busy trying to get some cool street photography shots without annoying anyone when a stranger walking past said 'cheese'. Grasping the opportunity I followed him and asked if he would pose for me. Bret was only too happy to oblige. "I love this kind of thing" he said. Later I wondered whether he meant being stopped by strangers or being photographed, or both. Bret's quite a charming young man who was in Nottingham for the day promoting affordable energy solutions for people. I didn't quite get what his work entails but he described himself as an entrepreneur of energy. I rather liked that description and felt it suited him because he was full of energy and life himself. He was on his way to catch a train so it was rather lovely of him to stop and let me take some portraits. I quite like the way the light in the background is shining and blowing out a bit like a burst of energy. Hope he caught his train on time.
